Pre-care Instructions: How To Prepare For Your PMU Brow Appointment

Preparing for your brow appointment is one of the most important steps you can take to ensure beautiful, long‑lasting results. While the treatment itself plays a major role, how your skin is cared for beforehand directly impacts comfort, pigment retention, and the overall healing process. A little preparation goes a long way in helping your brows heal evenly and naturally.

To ensure the best results and proper healing, please avoid alcohol, caffeine, aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, and other blood‑thinning supplements for at least 24–48 hours prior to your appointment (unless prescribed by your doctor). These substances can increase sensitivity and bleeding, which may interfere with pigment implantation and healing. You should also avoid tanning, self‑tanner, retinol, exfoliants, chemical peels, or facial treatments in the treatment area for at least seven days before your visit, as these can thin or irritate the skin and affect how the pigment settles.

If you are feeling unwell or have an active skin irritation, infection, open wound, or sunburn in the treatment area, please contact us to reschedule. Treating compromised skin can increase the risk of complications and impact your final results.

Following these simple pre‑care guidelines helps minimize sensitivity, supports proper healing, and allows us to deliver the most beautiful, natural‑looking, and long‑lasting results possible. If you ever have questions about pre‑care or are unsure whether something applies to you, we’re always happy to help—your comfort, safety, and confidence are our top priorities.
