Do You Need Saline Removal, or Just a Brow Shape Adjustment?

One question I hear a lot from people unhappy with old brow tattoos is whether they actually need full removal, or if the shape can just be adjusted on top of what's already there.
Honestly, it depends on the color more than the shape. If the pigment healed a normal warm brown tone and it's just sitting in slightly the wrong spot, a skilled correction can often work with what's there, building a better shape around the existing pigment instead of removing it. But if the color has gone gray, blue, orange, or too solid and dark, that's usually a sign the pigment itself needs to be lifted first, because no amount of shape correction fixes a color problem.
A simple way to think about it: shape problems can often be worked around, but color problems usually can't be covered up they need to come out first. Layering a fix on top of bad pigment tends to make things muddier instead of better.
If you're staring at your brows unsure which category you're in, that's a completely normal place to be, most people can't tell on their own because it depends on what pigment was originally used and how it's aged, which isn't something you can diagnose in a mirror.
