Brows Are Sisters, Not Twins—And That’s Totally Normal

We’ve all heard it: “Brows are sisters, not twins.” And during your ombré brow appointment, I’ll do everything I can to create the illusion of symmetry using my mapping technique. But here’s something I always explain to clients—it’s completely normal for your brows to be a little different. In fact, they’re supposed to be.
Here’s why true symmetry isn’t always possible:
One brow often has more muscle movement than the other (this is super common!)
Your bone structure and skin volume naturally vary from side to side
If there’s extreme muscle activity in one brow, full symmetry just can’t be achieved
I noticed one of my ears sat higher than the other when I was just eight years old—so trust me, we all have asymmetries! If your brows are very uneven, I may suggest removing a little hair from one side to help balance the shape. I’ll always get your okay before making any adjustments.
Once we design your shape, keeping it fresh is easy with a little at-home maintenance—tweezing, threading, waxing, or a quick touch-up with a brow razor.
What matters most is coming into your appointment with realistic expectations. Don’t treat the mirror like a microscope. Give yourself grace. And remember—even Ariana Grande (yes, queen of the high ponytail and flawless winged liner) has naturally asymmetrical brows. And she still slays every red carpet.
You don’t need perfect brows to feel beautiful—you just need brows that feel like you.
